Spring Launch Campaign
It’s safe to say that South Western Railways first major advertising campaign needed to be eye-catching and memorable. Using original photography, we travelled across the south-west to capture six stunning locations on their network. After we captured the heart of the network we used these images to produce a range of promotional material to showcase travel on South Western Railway trains.
WHAT WAS INVOLVED
In addition to promoting travel with SWR we wanted to showcase some of the hidden gems on South Western Railway network. To do this, we produced various materials from station posters, digital displays and interactive light-box advertising through to radio adverts.
So, how did we decide on the destinations we hear you ask? Well, we visited six destinations across the network to ensure we reached the hearts of people of all ages. First of all, we visited was Shanklin Chine in the Isle of Wight. After we captured the beauty of the Isle of Wight on the first day we travelled to Weymouth Harbour, the New Forest and Bombay Saffire Gin Distillery in Hampshire. And..finally, for day 3 of the shoot, we visited Richmond Park and SEALIFE London Aquarium in London.
Throughout the campaign, we produced various materials from station posters, digital displays, on-train advertising, to interactive light-box advertising. They were also used online as web-banners and advertisements. On top of this, Red Rocket wrote the script, recorded and edited content for radio adverts that were played on radio stations nationwide.
the red rocket solution
In conclusion, this campaign was a huge success! The various forms of promotional materials were all kept closely in line with the SWR brand guidelines, creating a unified feel and meaning the effects of these adverts would be the same across the network.
