Great Western Hospital

The foundation
Great Western Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is one of the biggest healthcare providers and employers in the south-west, with around 2.5 million patient contacts a year.
They provide healthcare to the people of Swindon and the surrounding areas, offering the latest treatments and care in hospital, in the local community and in people’s own homes.
Recruit more local heroes
The NHS approached Red Rocket to help solve a problem; they wanted to increase the number of job applications for permanent roles at the Great Western Hospital in Swindon. Surprisingly, GWH is faced with a national shortage of qualified nurses and other healthcare professionals, they needed help in standing out with a recruitment campaign.

Recruitment Campaign
Our initial work focused on how we could advertise internally and showcase the employee benefits available at the Trust. Not to mention, key testimonials from staff by reinforcing what makes the Great Western Hospital a great place to work. With this in mind, we created a simple yet bold visual celebrating the staff at the heart of the project.
Delivering the goods
Firstly, Red Rocket arranged a photoshoot for a range of staff from around the hospital. We wanted to showcase our local heroes as the face for this campaign. In particular, we felt that the staff endorsing the Great Western Hospital were staunch believers of what was being said. During this project, we deployed a range of marketing techniques.
In conclusion, by utilising billboards, bus advertising and posters we were able to communicate with a diverse audience across Swindon.
