Journey to Better roadshow
South Western Railway partnered with us to deliver their “Journey to Better” roadshow — an eight-event series, designed to engage and inspire their management team. Over two months, we travelled to venues, creating visually impactful and engaging events to communicate SWR’s vision for the future.
Understanding the Vision
In 2022, South Western Railway started an initiative to address service level improvements by bringing managers within the organisation together to attend presentations and workshops sited at key locations across Southern England.
The initial 9 roadshows were fronted by Managing Director, Claire Mann and guest speaker and olympian runner, Roger Black and were such a success, that a follow up series of roadshows ran from January to March 2023. With the theme of ‘Accountability’, it challenged delegates’ approach to management. These thought-provoking presentations included professional actors role-playing scenarios and addressed key resolve initiatives.
The 2024 roadshows followed in March with another 9 events which focused on empowering managers to take proactive steps in their leadership roles, emphasising the importance of decision-making, resilience, and inspiring their teams. The sessions encouraged practical application through interactive workshops, real-life case studies, and live demonstrations, offering tangible strategies for managing challenges and driving results.

The Journey to Better roadshow was a resounding success. Our creative elements helped deliver a consistent, impactful experience across all nine events. The stage design and video production set the tone for dynamic presentations, while the signage and banners ensured smooth logistics at each venue. The highlights film captured the energy and enthusiasm of the roadshow, providing lasting content that SWR could share with the broader team.
By the end of the two months, the roadshow had effectively communicated South Western Railway’s vision and motivated their managers to be active participants in the company’s ongoing journey to better. We look forward to working with SWR again next year on the next roadshow events.
